Food and cooking has inspired me since I was a teenager, which led me to pursue a career as a chef. I spent my 20’s traveling and working in a variety of kitchens from chalets in the French Alps to a pub deep in the Scottish Highlands.
I moved to New Zealand for 2 years where I trained in the sweets and dessert section at a vineyard restaurant, a challenge I loved as it allowed me the opportunity to learn new skills and experiment with my creativity.
When I returned I needed a new challenge and I began to experiment with ideas that excluded gluten, dairy and egg as many the restaurant customers were now looking for alternatives.
This inspired me to start Willow and Dove.
About Willow and Dove
Willow and Dove create handmade sweet treats which are naturally free from gluten, dairy and egg.
I make all of our chocolate by hand using unroasted raw cacao powder, organic cacao butter and agave nectar.

Why Willow and Dove? I was brainstorming names for my new venture in the garden whilst listening to the cricket one hot summer. The presenters were talking about how cricket bats are made of willow which set my mind wandering and playing with words! I quite liked ‘dove’ as it created a sense of freedom and inspiration.
